After more than 10 months of planning and running around preparing for my wedding, ‘The Day’ finally came. Yes, I am now married. I would like to dedicate this post to say thanks to everyone who had helped and attended our wedding.  I cannot say enough thanks to my mum, sis, and my aunties for putting in so much of effort in my wedding. Special thanks to my light girls! I wouldn’t have had a grand entrance without the help of you guys. Thank you guys so much for taking the effort to dress up in Indian attire.

“So how’s your feeling? Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re getting married already!” This is what I got from  most of my close friends when I met them recently. Honestly, I still do not know how or what to feel. Usually its the case of nervousness and a slight heart ache. Moving out of the house which I have stayed in for the past 25 years is definitely not an easy task. Yes I know its only 40km away its still not the same. I would be waking up to a whole new environment. I’m actually trying to hold my tears while I’m typing this. Shiissh….

Moving on to the wedding preparations. Most of it is done! All that is left are the last minute stuff.

• Get the floor plan for my future room and start hunting for furnitures to refurnish the whole room. (Furnitures arrived last week!)
• Meet the decor person to discuss about our wedding theme. (Done)
• Shopping for the wedding attire. (Done)
• Confirm the date to get registered at Putrajaya. (Married! )
• Get rid of my old desktop and get a new laptop. (Got myself the new Acer Aspire 5943G)
• Taking my close friends to shop for some traditional outfits for my wedding. (All settled)
• Pre-wedding shoot. (Done. Need to collect the CDs and banner )
• Distribute wedding invitation cards. (Done)
• Start clearing my stuff and decide what to and not to bring to Shah Alam. (Almost done)
• Lose weight/maintain and not keep gaining it :-/ —> NOT HAPPENING! :p

It’ll be a busy period for me until the ceremony ends. Till then~

Both of us signed the legal papers on the 19th November 2010 so now we are officially MARRIED. However, I will only be moving in with him on the 12th December 2010, which is after my Indian wedding ceremony. Still feels weird to be a married woman! But I guess the feeling of being a wife will sink in pretty soon. (At times, I still tend to refer Ram as my boyfriend )

Can’t wait for this whole wedding preparation thing to be over and done with. Planning a wedding can be a very tiring process, especially when you don’t hire a wedding planner. Why hire when you can handle it on your own rite? After all, it is a once in a lifetime event!

Five of us from work were tested positive with Influenza A last month. Eventhough mine was on the mild stage and not required to be admitted, I still suffered quite a bit. The fever never subsided, in fact the temperature increased everyday until I was prescribed with the Tamiflu antiviral pills. With the wedding coming ahead. I didn’t even had the time to rest. Yes I lied about resting at home when in reality I was running around doing chores with my fever. With God’s grace, I recovered without any complications. We were required to do a second test at a government hospital but we never got the results. NEVER.  Even after recovering from the influenza, I still get tired very fast but I feel that my health has improved a lot this past 2 weeks.

Speaking about wedding preparations, so many things have been done and yet to be done. So much to do yet so little time! I hope I will not go crazy!

On another note, my dearest friends organised my hen’s night and YES I had lots of fun. I admit for not being a sport by refusing to do a lot of things which they had planned. Again I would like to thank them for replanning the activities and  so that I will be able to do it. It was an experience I will never forget. LOL!

Oh guess what, I will officially be Mrs. Ramprashad (weird to even type it) this coming Friday (19th Nov). Not too sure what or how to feel yet since we’re only going to be signing the legal papers first. I’ll only be moving in to his house only on the 12th Dec, after my wedding ceremony. I guess the nervous feeling will only start kicking in a few days before the ceremony itself.

I hope I will have the time to update more often and not leave my blog dusty ever again! Till then~

On another note, my engagement pictures are finally sorted out. The photo album will be ready by the 25th of this month or so they said! Their service is slow and they definitely have to improve on their customer service. This is what you get when there’s only one photographer who handles everyone else’s pictures and album design! Will blog more about this after I have gotten the album.

Till then…

I don’t know for how long we can tolerate this but I can guaranty that this will affect the productivity. In my opinion, the least our management could do is to introduce flexible working hours. Which means for those who comes in early can go back early as well, as long as our work is done for the day. I need time to get used to this timing. Right now, I am feeling groggy/dizzy and I can foresee a headache coming on the way.

• Confirm the date to get registered at Putrajaya. (Submitting the form/booking a date this saturday)
  
• Pre-wedding shoot. (In-progress)

As far as I can remember, this is what I will be handling for my side. The rest will be handled by my dearest fiancé. We have less than 2 months to get everything sorted out! Not an easy task but we can do it!

Over a period of time, I have learnt not to go public on certain things. There are a lot of people out there blog-hopping and for all you know, some murderer, rapist or a psycho might just be stalking you over the net. This actually applies to other social networking sites as well. For example the foursquare app that links to your twitter account which updates your twitter about your whereabouts and the exact location. Imagine if you have a stalker and he/she follows you on twitter. Scary isn’t it? So what I’m trying to say here is that, one should know how to maintain their privacy on the net because the world of internet is bigger than you think it is.

On a another note, look at how this blog post evolved from being nothing to something? Maybe I should just write whatever that comes from my mind as I type.

On the 25th September 2010, one of my closest and dearest friend, Nora got engaged. Finally another person to join in the ‘Engaged Club’ after me. I was definitely honored to be the head bridal attendant and also to help her with some of the preparations. It was my first time attending a Malay Engagement and it was indeed a good experience. Very similar to us Indians but also different in some ways. I am extremely happy for her and I’m already dreaming about our kids being good friends just like us!

So here you go Nora, my special Monday blog entry just for you Congratulations to you and Suff! *hugs*

Okay, back to reality. I’ll be getting married in exactly 2 months and 26 days (OMG, that’s so soon >_<). And let me tell you that there is absolutely not much time left! Therefore, I need to plan everything wisely and try to get things done asap. Below are the list of things I need to do before the wedding:

• Confirm the design for our wedding invitation card and send it for print.
• Meet the decor person to discuss about our wedding theme.
• Confirm the date to get registered at Putrajaya.
• Pre-wedding shoot. (few days allocated)
• Shopping for the wedding attire. (Few trips will be made just for shopping *rolls eyes*)
• Plan the color code for all my bridesmaid’s attire.

It doesn’t look like its a lot, but I’m already starting to panic. I’m actually slowly turning into a bridezilla in the process of doing all this. So my dear friends, if I were to get out of control, please slap me on the face okay? ( I know a lot of people are waiting to do this :p )

Besides all this, I’m also all hyped up for one of my best friend, Nora‘s engagement which will be held next week. Can’t wait for it! Will update more and will TRY to make it a frequent one too.
